one of us was called Wind
and he set off one day looking for news skies ,
new heavens , other sunrises and other sunsets far away ,
and, at each change of season ,
we all wondered where could he now be?
one of us was called Wind
his heart was small and weak
but on the day he left
he discovered that instead his heart was big and strong
and with is heart he started sowing the streets of the world
and wiped away the fears and anxieties of all and each one
with its free flight and with the Sunshine up above
one of us was called Wind
one of us was called Sun
she loved to dance and did not speak the language of other women and men
yet each and every one waited and depended on her rays and her spell
all were in love with her but she did not understand their anxiety and their love
and thus continued to dance alone
because she belonged to dance and with the dance she would
remain forever, elegant and lone
giving to the world her beauty and peace at dawn
one of us was called Sun
she flitted from morning to evening from evening to the morning sun
and hovering in the sky she brought joy and life
along her and our longsome earthly pathway
one of us was called Sun
one of us was called Earth
and was made of sand and clay
blue clay , the same as the one settled down on the bottom of the Sea
one of us was called Earth
and reluctantly had to migrate and he got lost away,
but one day he came back to rest in his turf before he reached the final season round
and gave us and to the world good and rich harvests for years to come
then dissapeared in the dust again and forever
as the sand and the blue clay
down to the bottom of the Sea
one of us was called Earth
one of us was called Sea
he came around and went away cyclically as his tide
coming and going on the shore of an immense and longsome beach
one of us was called Sea
and on his arrival gave smiles and joy everywhere and to everyone
pervading and leaving the rocks on the shoreline
happy soggy and wet
happy soggy and wet
one of us was called Sea
one of us was called Rock,
and without hesitation carried on his shoulders the weight of the world,
and embedded in his veins had
the signs of life and the memory of the seasons and time to come
one of us was called Rock,
on her the elements of nature would flow away
and left traces of their passage as embroidery as tattoos
deep incisions and indelible scars of time
and all of us
we were called Sweet Water and Pumice Stone
because we were all born from the bowels of the earth,
scrolling down in the underground as carsic rivers
or from violent magma eruptions filled of new life,
we all are called Sweet Water and Pumice Stone
because we all live for each other and we should pervade
invade one another, then water and quench our thirst
and believe with confidence with love and compassion for one another
one
another
more and more
again and again
we all were call Sweet Water and Pumice Stone
we all will continue our journey
hand in hand, side by side
because under this sky , under this sun
we are saved only in this way , all together
or no one at all
and this is only a simple prayer for nature and the elements
a prayer dedicated to the fellow travelers
and whoever wants to join in this hymn and on this pathway
on this harsh yet sweet trail
and this is all we know
this is all we have and nothing else for the time being
here around the fire on the border with the peripheries of the world
Sun Earth Wind Rock and Sea
we walk, we dance and sing and so we are saved in choir and hand in hand
Sun Earth Wind Rock and Sea
we walk, we dance and sing and so we are saved in choir and hand in hand
hand in hand
we have nothing , we know nothing alse at the moment
Sun Earth Wind Rock and Sea
in Freshwater and Pumice Stone we transfigure
as we walk together and walk
Sun Earth Wind Rock and Sea
Sweet water and Pumice Stone
the weather is good today, it is time to leave
the weather is good today the time has come to save us all
to save one another ,
together
hand in hand
prayer for nature and the elements
dedicated to the fellow travelers
to sing aloud walking with a light step at nightfall
and so be it
