the snow falls
like a mirage
a oasis on a cloud
a fluffy white carpet
on which to run on a cold winter night
kidnapped as we are, by a concrete jungle
by any suburb in the world
made of concrete ground, sidewalks intersections and traffic lights
the snow falls
and maybe I can still hold my breath
and feel growing inside, despite the gray asphalt all around ,
a sweet relief, a childhood memory
made of bread and peace, made of light and wind
old faded away winter time
ancient winters stuffed with fables
whispered to us by the adults to us children
shivering wrapped up under the blankets of the night
snowflakes falling
like a mirage , an oasis, a cloud
yet it is only snow
snow in the suburbs
and if it is not snow it rains in the cracks of the concrete of the street
the street of life dirtied, spoiled and offended by violent splashing water
raised by cars in queue one after the other
by thousands lined up
one after the other
like a huge wave
a flock of birds
a swarm of wasps
commuting cars lost in transition
carrying thousands of people and lonely thoughts
while lightly the snow keeps falling on our heads
the snow falls
and slowly makes beneath our feet a white oasis of light and peace
a cloud, a distant mirage of mist flooded with the orange light
under the advertising signs and illumination bulbs
the snow falls
in this winter night lost as we are in any ordinary gray periphery of the world
in any city made of lights , junctions, asphalt and concrete,
made of concrete ground, sidewalks intersections and traffic lights
snowflakes falling
snow falls slightly ,
please take me away!
dirty, beautiful suburb snow
please take me away
take me away now!
and so be it
saving and sacred suburb snow falling down
falling down
