under this grey suburban sky
a free heart beats inside a fortress
day after day
the doors and windows open and close
and get old
the wood dries and then rots
and then it swells and shrinks,
and the breeze increase
so the humid heat of summer and the chill of winter passes by
under this grey suburban sky
time goes by and we are all more and more anxiety slaves
and yet
nothing else we know nothing else we can ask
but to feel the beat
be aware it
savor it
and let the sunrise and sunset and the change of seasons
tear down
the doors the windows and all barriers
and so let the heart
forever free
