until you have learned to stay afloat
and then to recognize the favourable flow
and until you have learned to swim to a safe shore in these suburban stormy seas
until then do not accuse , do not denigrate do not criticize the water where you belong
and also when you arrive to the other side , to your alleged landing, do not, not even then
since the water surrounds you by its nature and can’t do anything else,
the reason why you have ended up in that water down to the neck is an unsounded mystery as far as we know
shipwrecked as we are under this sky, under this suburban sun
but , the task of reaching to the other side
to any side
and once there , the task of starting a fire to warm you up
together with your good crossing companions
it is always and only yours
and so be it
by these faraway suburban seas
