take your time

take your time
this is my friend answer
to my tired eyes

on your way
take your time
take all the time that you need
 think gently
and embrace time
caress it
delicately
flavour it
sing it
play it
and listen to the desert wind
that is calling you right now
listen to it
it is a song
a sacred song

take your time
this is my friend answer
to my tired eyes

take your time
take all the time that you need on your way
taste it
like this typical  recipe
as if it were the first and last
and then breathe in deeply
the thousands of instants that will appear to your eyes all the same and yet unique ,
always inimitable, perfect and unrepeatable
moments that will pass by in front of your tired eyes
thousands of moments, fragments of life in the wind
as clothes hung out to dry
clothes hanging in the wind
the sacred desert wind

take your time
take all the time that you need on your way
think
and then speaks softly

like so my friend is singing
and then he pours the tea
and fills our glasses
and empties them again and again into the teapot
and fills them again and again until those sacred herbs
sing themselves to our tired hearts
here I am, here I’m ready !

time is like this teapot
my friend is singing to the Sahara wind

and you are like tea, flowing hot
leaving fascinated the desired visitor
the more you spend yourself
my friends says
the more you blend and mix with the leaves and the roots of life
the more you will feel deeply down that you have lived
that you have fully lived
as running water
that fulfils its destiny and reaches the sea

as running water
that fulfils its destiny
 and reaches the sea

the more you will spend yourself as a blessing to the unexpected guests
the more you will fell that you  have fully lived

the weather is like this empty teapot
and you are the life in it contained
you are the sacred tea for the unexpected guest
the more you will donate yourself
the more you  will be able to say that you  have fully lived
nothing else is given to us to know for the moment
for the meanwhile
under this immense and sacred sky

hence my friend
let’s dive right into our time
let us soak in our dreams, in our desires and the events
we are like saving holy mint leaves
we are fine grains of sand in the wind
so let's take our time
gently, slowly
our life is sacred as this herbal tea
an immense and holy gift
that will last for a fragile
and infinite  instant
under this beautiful and powerful desert sky
the desert sky that still and always will cuddle us away
and so be it
