where were you at the beginning of the sixth mass extinction? - n. 1

at the beginning of the sixth mass extinction
with almost half a century on my shoulders
 exhausted
I found myself at lunchbreack asleep in a public restroom
dreaming about renting a soft and cool corner
to fill that empty half an hour
with a tiny portion of safe sleep

right before awakening
a rebellious thought, an ancient wail  about the Moon and the stars above, came around an slapped me
by singing

" beyond the Pillars of Hercules the sea is always stormy,
yet, before it is too late,
you better to be a drifting lifeboat
instead of a plastic duck in a bathtub"
