and I continue to dig
I write
for those who don't listen anymore

we are all so angry and afraid
 that we don't allow ourselves to have compassion

even the earth and the sea cry 
and the plants and animals cry
but we the human beings
we do not
we do not cry anymore
we don’t know how anymore

this is the end of the world !
every single day
at every sunrise
day after day
the end of the world

and yet
the solution, the salvation is there,
entirely contained within a single tear
and so be it
